Setting Up Your Voice Agent

Updated March 19, 20263 sections

Creating a voice agent

Go to Voice Agent in the sidebar and click Create Voice Agent. You'll be guided through:

  1. Agent name — Give your agent a name (e.g., "Front Desk")
  2. Phone number — Select or provision a phone number
  3. Voice selection — Choose the AI voice that represents your business
  4. Business info — Confirm your business name, hours, and services

Forwarding your business phone

You can forward your existing business phone to your AI voice agent number when you can't answer. Most phone providers support conditional forwarding:

  • Forward on busy — When you're on another call
  • Forward on no answer — After a set number of rings
  • Forward always — Send all calls to the AI agent

Contact your phone provider for specific forwarding instructions.

Testing your voice agent

Use the Test tab in your voice agent hub to make a test call. This lets you hear exactly how the AI will sound to your callers. Test different scenarios:

  • Basic greeting and business hours question
  • Appointment booking request
  • Emergency or urgent call
  • Request to speak with a human
