Types of knowledge sources
Your chatbot can learn from five types of sources:
- Website URL — Automatically scrapes and indexes your web pages
- Q&A Pairs — Question-and-answer pairs for precise control
- Text Snippets — Free-form text content
- File Upload — PDF, DOCX, or TXT documents
- CSV Import — Bulk import Q&A pairs from a spreadsheet
Managing sources
In the Sources tab, you can:
- View all sources — See each source with its type, chunk count, and status
- Re-sync a website — Re-scrape to pick up new content
- Edit Q&A pairs — Update answers as your business changes
- Delete sources — Remove outdated or incorrect information
- View chunks — See how your content was split for search
Knowledge gaps
FrontlineHQ automatically tracks questions your chatbot couldn't answer confidently. Check Knowledge Gaps in your dashboard to see:
- Questions that had low-confidence answers
- Frequency — how often each question was asked
- Suggested Q&A pairs to fill the gap
Regularly reviewing knowledge gaps is the fastest way to improve your chatbot's accuracy.
