Capturing and Managing Leads

Updated March 19, 20263 sections

How lead capture works

When a visitor is chatting with your AI, the widget can prompt them to share their contact information (name, email, phone). This happens:

  • Automatically — After a configurable number of messages (default: 3-4 exchanges)
  • On request — When the AI detects the visitor wants a callback, quote, or appointment

Lead capture is enabled by default. You can adjust timing and behavior in Settings.

Viewing leads

Go to the Leads tab in your chatbot hub. Each lead shows:

  • Name, email, phone — Contact details (encrypted at rest)
  • Source — Where the lead came from (widget, Telegram, WhatsApp, etc.)
  • Inquiry — What they asked about
  • Status — New, Contacted, Qualified, Won, or Lost
  • Conversation link — Jump directly to their chat

Lead statuses

Update lead status as you work through your pipeline:

  • New — Just captured, not yet contacted
  • Contacted — You've reached out
  • Qualified — Confirmed as a real opportunity
  • Won — Converted to a customer
  • Lost — Didn't convert

Click any lead to update its status, add notes, or view the full conversation.
